And Kersey Valley Axe Throwing in Archdale, NC, added a new twist by creating the country’s only outdoor axe tour across their 60-acre farm. Kersey Valley Axe Throwing also has an indoor playing option that is family friendly with no alcohol allowed. Unlike the indoor axe throwing, the axe throwing outdoor tour is comprised of 20 different target types and various distances to throw your axe.
So, get your friends, family or coworkers outside to compete in an outdoor axe throwing session at Kersey Valley Axe Throwing! It will be one of those activities you will remember for a lifetime.
Get Proficient Your First Time Out
Reviews from guests are raving about how much they love the outdoor Axe Throwing tour over playing with the same style targets and challenges found with indoor games. The 11 different locations with 20 different targets on the outdoor axe tour at Kersey Valley Axe Throwing will test your skills. Guests who have never thrown an axe will become proficient by the end of their 30 minutes of training. Plus you’ll get approximately 1 1/2 hours to complete the outdoor course!
The video below shows our seventh location called Mixed Up. Player one throws from position one then player 2 is added and throws at the same time as player 1 moves to position 2. Play repeats until all six positions have a player throwing at the same time as seen in the video.
Each player is provided with a hunter green carrying case for their own personal axe to use on the course. Guests can also use this handy case to carry a drink, bug spray, and an axe-cleaning rag for those axes that land on the ground. Each of the axe target locations at Kersey Valley Axe Throwing is strategically placed near the massive Zip Line towers. So, guests can hear the farm radio station playing music as they tour the farm.
Axe Throwing locations 10 and 11 can be seen in the photo below. These two axe throwing locations requires the player to stick the axe on the target to earn the points. Other targets vary from traditional targets found indoors to custom targets painted on wood.
